Getting the Most Out of Your Yoga Experience
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the beginning of class. Our drop in rate for classes is $15.00; however, please do not let money be an obstacle to attending. Class cards are also available – 5-class card ($70) and 10-class card ($130).
Each class is approximately 75-90 minutes long. Don’t eat at least two hours before class. Practicing yoga on a full stomach may cause cramps or leave you feeling lethargic.
Mats are available to borrow, but strongly suggest you bring your own. Please leave cell phones outside of the building, or make sure that they are turned off.
Please bring your own towel and water. Don’t wear perfumes or scented oils, others may be sensitive to scents. Wear comfortable clothing that moves with your body. Be aware of your surroundings, don’t speak loudly or disruptively. Loud conversation can be distracting to other students who are observing a quiet time.
Yoga is non-competitive. Don’t push yourself to extremes. You will progress farther and faster with a loving attitude towards yourself and your body.
Do drink lots of water after class and go for a walk the day after. This will help to flush out toxins released during asana practice. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Tell your teacher what you liked or disliked about class. Enjoy yourself! Yoga is a journey toward learning about your body and becoming aware of its infinite possibilities!
